Kathleen McKee Snyder is the Director of Communications for the Office of K-12 Outreach in the College of Education at Michigan State University. Prior to that, she worked for more than a decade with nationally renowned education researcher and speaker, Dr. Lawrence W. Lezotte. She coauthored three books with Dr. Lezotte: What Effective Schools Do: Re-Envisioning the Correlates; Stepping Up: Leading the Charge to Improve Our Schools; Assembly Required: A Continuous School Improvement System and its companion Implementation Guide. She was editor of the Effective Schools Research Abstracts for 12 years, and has edited many educational books and articles for publication. She has a Master's degree from MSU in Community and Regional Development, with a focus on community and organizational change, and the role of leadership in creating stakeholder buy-in and consensus.
